The number of drowned people in Tisza is growing

On Wednesday, June 12, during patrolling of the Ukrainian-Hungarian section of the border, the border squad of the "Bodalovo" branch discovered the body of a man without signs of life. This tragic event took place in the area of the Tisza River, which forms the border between Ukraine and Hungary.

This is stated in the message of the State Border Service of Ukraine.

The body of the unknown man was in the Tisza River. The current carried it to the Ukrainian coast. The border guards managed to pull the drowning man ashore.

Employees of the State Emergency Service and the National Police were called to the scene.

The identity of the deceased is currently being established.

The DPSU notes that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, in the area of responsibility of the Mukachevo border detachment, this is already the 35th drowned person discovered in the Tisza on the border with neighboring countries.

It will be recalled that on May 30, near the Ukrainian-Romanian border, the body of a man with signs of prolonged stay in the water was discovered.
