"Russian terrorists again massively attacked Ukraine with missiles. Different cities: Kyiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk. More than 40 missiles of different types. Residential buildings, infrastructure and a children's hospital were damaged," Zelensky said.
He noted that all services are involved in order to save as many people as possible.
This morning, July 8, the Russian invaders shelled Kyiv, which led to serious consequences for the city. According to the Kyiv City State Administration, residents heard several loud explosions, which led to destruction and significant material damage.
In various districts of the city - Solomyanskyi, Dniprovskyi, Darnytskyi, Desnyanskyi, Shevchenkivskyi and Holosiivskyi - falling debris was recorded, which resulted in damage to residential and office buildings. In particular:
- An office building was damaged in the Solomyan district.
- Debris fell near a residential building in the Holosiivsky district.
- Debris in a residential building is burning in the Dnipro district.
- A private house was damaged in Darnytskyi district.
- A house caught fire in the Desnyan district.
- In the Shevchenkiv district, the Okhmadyt children's hospital was damaged, there is destruction.
All operational services are working at the scene of the incident to eliminate the consequences and provide assistance to the victims.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, in his official Telegram channel, condemned the attack and called on the international community to act decisively to stop Russian aggression.
"And the whole world must use all its determination to finally stop the Russian strikes. Murders are what Putin brings. Only together will we be able to bring real peace and security," Zelenskyi said.
