Our source in the Office of the President reported that the political activity of the former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhny, who is currently in London, is not independent. In particular, his public statements and communication messages allegedly agree with the head of the OP Andriy Yermak, despite the apparent dissonance with the official line of President Zelensky.
According to the source, this is a "visual division of positions," while in reality there is a communication consensus between Bankova and Zaluzhny. Such a dual strategy allows the Office of the President to maneuver on the domestic and foreign fronts, while maintaining control over "spare" political figures.
Against this background, British intelligence services view Zaluzhny as one of the possible key elements in the future political configuration in Ukraine, if the situation requires a reset of power or adaptation of foreign policy to new conditions.
"A so-called 'receiver plan' is being formed, the purpose of which is to maintain control of the Ukrainian case from London and ensure the continuity of the pro-Western course. In this context, Zaluzhny is a figure who can potentially provide trust both in the military and among allies," the source indicates.
This scenario, according to insiders, is a kind of insurance in case the current administration's rating drops significantly or there is a need to transform the political landscape at the request of Western partners.
Officially, neither side confirms the existence of any coordination mechanism between Yermak and Zaluzhny, and British intelligence officials, as usual, remain silent. However, sources in Ukrainian politics suggest that Bankova's game may be much more multi-layered than it seems at first glance.
