Recommendations for Ukrainian athletes at the Olympics: how to behave with Russians and Belarusians

The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, together with the National Olympic Committee, have published recommendations for Ukrainian athletes who will participate in the Summer Olympics in Paris regarding interaction with representatives of Russia and Belarus.

They urge you to ignore them as much as possible:

– refrain from contact – both in the Olympic village and outside it;
– do not communicate on the Internet, do not like their posts;
– do not participate in joint press conferences, advertisements and other events;
– do not publish joint photos;
– stay at a distance during the award ceremony;
– in case of attempts at provocation, inform the delegation leadership;

It is stated that the rules of participation in competitions must be followed to the extent necessary to meet the minimum requirements. That is, there may be exceptions to the rules in order not to violate the regulations and not receive disqualification.

Recall that Russians and Belarusians will compete at the Olympics as neutral athletes, not representatives of their countries.
