The pre-Christmas period in Ukraine has become a time of active migration flows. As reported by the State Border Service, one of the highest figures for crossing the state border in recent years was recorded in a 24-hour period - 150 thousand people. This is due to preparations for the holiday, the return of Ukrainians home, as well as trips abroad.
According to the State Border Service of Ukraine, growth is recorded at all sections, but the largest passenger flow is observed at checkpoints on the border with Poland.
At the same time, there is no significant advantage of entering Ukraine over leaving.
During the day, an average of 75 thousand people crossed the state border in both directions. The increase in passenger traffic leads to queues
It was previously reported that during the pre-Christmas period, passenger traffic at the Lviv region border increased by 25%.
