Recommendations for Ukrainian athletes at the Olympics: how to behave with Russians and Belarusians

The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, together with the National Olympic Committee, published recommendations for Ukrainian athletes who will participate in the Summer Olympics in Paris, regarding interaction with representatives of Russia and Belarus.

They are urged to ignore them as much as possible:

- refrain from contacts - both in the Olympic town and outside it;
- do not communicate on the Internet, do not like their posts;
- not to participate in joint press conferences, advertisements and other events;
- do not publish joint photos;
– be at a distance during the awarding;
- in case of attempted provocations, inform the leadership of the delegation;

At the same time, it is said that it is necessary to follow the rules of participation in competitions, as much as it is necessary for the minimum fulfillment of the requirements. That is, there may be exceptions to the rules in order not to violate the regulations and not receive disqualification.

We would like to remind you that Russians and Belarusians will perform at the Olympics as neutral athletes, and not as representatives of their countries.
