According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, under the procedural leadership of the Zaporizhzhya Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Eastern Region, the rector of the university, together with eight subordinates, received suspicion immediately after several articles of the Criminal Code - from the creation of a criminal organization to assistance in evasion.
According to the investigation, the organizer of the scheme is the rector of a private educational institution, which was conspired with other staff of the university. They fictitiously counted the military, which allowed to obtain an official delay from mobilization.
The falsification covered everything from entering false data into a single state electronic database on education (EEBO) to issuing counterfeit training certificates.
From October 2023 to May 2024, almost 3000 "graduate students" were drawn up.
The "cost of the question" started from 20 thousand hryvnias for formal enrollment, but the real rates reached up to 70 thousand hryvnias, if the client wished "turnkey design": preparation of a package of documents for the CCC, consultation, decisions about reception and support.
In general, during the part -time, its participants, according to the investigation, received more than UAH 17 million hryvnias.
All nine participants of the criminal organization were served with a request for a measure of restraint, and the prosecutor's office requires arrest on their property.
Legal qualification of the actions of the suspects - Art. 255 (creation of a criminal organization), Art. 362 (unauthorized actions with information), Art. 336 (evasion), Art. 114-1 (obstruction of the Armed Forces), Art. 368-3 (bribery of a private structure official) and others.
Investigative actions are currently ongoing. The number of persons involved in the case can increase, as access to EEBO opens many digital traces to the investigation.
