In Kyiv, law enforcement officers have exposed a man who, in exchange for money, promised to help a conscript avoid military service and withdraw from military registration. He demanded $5,200 for his "services.".
According to the investigation, the suspect received the conscript's contacts through acquaintances and called him himself. During the conversation, he assured that he allegedly had connections in the territorial recruitment and social support center and could assist in declaring the man unfit for service with subsequent removal from the register.
As proof of the “seriousness of his intentions,” the defendant demanded an advance payment. He was transferred $1,700 to his bank card, which at the exchange rate was 70,800 hryvnias. He received the remaining amount — $3,500 — through an intermediary.
After transferring the funds, the man was detained by law enforcement officers. A report of suspicion is being prepared for him and a preventive measure is being chosen. If proven guilty, the defendant faces criminal liability for illegal receipt of unlawful benefit and assistance in evading mobilization.
Law enforcement officers emphasize that such "services" are illegal, and attempts to resolve issues through intermediaries can result in both loss of money and criminal liability.
