The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a decision to update the procedure for granting one-time cash assistance to the families of deceased and wounded servicemen. These changes are aimed at simplifying access to payments and reducing bureaucratic barriers for victims.
Now the application can be submitted through administrative service centers or online, as announced by the government representative in parliament, Taras Melnychuk.
The government has updated the procedure for assigning and paying lump-sum cash benefits in the event of death or disability of military personnel and veterans.
Changes were made to simplify the process, in particular, now an application for assistance can be submitted to the Ministry of Veterans Affairs through the administrative services center or, if technically possible and with an electronic account, through the Diya portal or the Unified Register of Veterans.
The decision on payment will be made by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, and the funds will be transferred directly to the recipient's bank account.
The Cabinet of Ministers has improved the mechanism for providing second- and third-level psychological assistance services to war veterans, their family members, and some other categories of persons.
