In Transcarpathia, at the Dragobrat ski resort, rescuers found four lost tourists during the day, including two residents of Irpen, Kyiv region. This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Transcarpathia.
The Rescue Service received a report about two men, born in 1991 and 1986, who got lost while snowboarding off-piste. They lost their bearings and ended up in the Krachunieska valley. Thanks to the precise coordinates provided by the tourists, rescuers found them two hours later and safely delivered them to the Dragobrat ski resort.
After that, rescuers received a new report about another tourist, a 35-year-old resident of Kremenchuk, who also got lost while skiing off-piste. He met a 49-year-old tourist from Odessa, who was also lost in the same area. The men provided their coordinates, and mountain rescuers quickly adjusted their route by phone until they met up with the search team.
The health condition of all four lost tourists is satisfactory, and none of them required medical attention. Rescuers urge tourists to be careful and not to leave designated trails while skiing at mountain resorts, in order to avoid similar incidents.
