Roman Lansky, co-founder of the IT company Strimco and co-developer of the mobile applications “Reserve+” and “Army+”, traveled to the island of Bali in April-May 2025. This information became known from his Instagram, where he openly shared his impressions of the vacation. However, this trip raised a wave of questions: how exactly was a conscripted man able to leave Ukraine when there are strict travel restrictions for men of draft age?
According to an analysis of social networks, Lansky was abroad from approximately the second half of April to mid-May. It was then that photos from an Indonesian resort appeared on his page. The information was first published by the administrators of the Telegram channel “Monaco Battalion”, which records cases of potentially illegal travel abroad by men during the war.
At the same time, Lansky did not provide any explanations regarding the reasons for his departure.
In his posts, he hints at health problems. Quote from Instagram:
“The Bobik is already melted like a shirt and is not taking it out at all. Again +15kg in a year. For the first time, the fig check... At this rate, the 'bobik' will completely die.”.
Allegedly, it was his health that became the reason for his “first vacation in 10 years.” But was it medical treatment? There is no answer. There is also no confirmation that he traveled with special permission or was on a business trip.
Interestingly, on May 15, Lansky published a new photo, probably from Ukraine. He became a blood donor, which indicates a satisfactory physical condition. Medical donation is allowed only to people without chronic diseases and in good shape. This fact casts doubt on the version about the critical state of health, which allegedly forced Lansky to seek rest abroad.
Given that Lansky is a man subject to military service and did not publish any documents or permits, it is possible that his departure was either under fictitious documents or as part of a dubious “cover” that is often used to circumvent the law. Given that Strimco is related to defense issues (development of “Reserve+”), it is possible that this was the basis for obtaining the departure — although the legal validity of such a decision requires verification.
