The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP) has published the results of the work of the Single Portal for reports of corruption whistleblowers for the first year of its operation. During this period, the portal received more than 3,800 complaints about corruption offenses, which indicates the active participation of citizens in the fight against corruption.
Compared to other reporting channels, the portal has become the most effective mechanism for whistleblowers to receive protection of their rights in a timely manner.
During the work, the public part of the portal was improved, namely, information blocks and links to sources were added; the block of information tips and notes for applicants has been improved; a search filter has been introduced for organizations that are connected to the portal in the Analytics section.
The NASC added that there is currently a need to unify the concept of "whistleblower", in particular, by harmonizing the definition of this term in the Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine with the corresponding norm of the Law of Ukraine On Prevention of Corruption.
