In the Zvyahelsk community of Zhytomyr region, it became known about the damage to an infrastructure facility as a result of a Russian strike, which led to a serious threat of air pollution. The incident was officially recorded by representatives of the local council.
In this regard, residents of the district are advised to stay at home and keep their windows closed. Schools have switched to distance learning as of today. As for preschools, special groups will be organized for parents who are unable to leave their children at home.
It is noted that there were no civilian casualties as a result of the strike, the department reported. The Zvyahelskaya OVA office explained that during the night attack, enemy kamikaze drones were attacked during an air alert, targeting critical infrastructure facilities.
In addition, as a result of a nighttime attack by "martyr" drones initiated by Russian aggressors, a logistics and transport facility and a gas station in the Odessa region were damaged.
On the night of April 8, an attack by Russian forces using 24 Shahed drones was recorded. Ukrainian air defenses destroyed 17 attack drones.
