Oligarch Rinat Akhmetov, one of the richest men in Ukraine, has put up for sale three of his private jets, among which the Airbus A319 with the flight number P4-RLA, which reflects Akhmetov's initials, stands out. This step became an important signal about possible changes in the business strategy and personal financial decisions of the businessman.
"May 1, 2024. Vienna, Austria. VIP terminal of Shwekhat airport. It is difficult not to notice a private Airbus A319 in the most prominent parking space. The abbreviation RLA on the board number (P4-RLA - note) stands for "Rinat Leonidovych Akhmetov".
This 2011 board is registered on the island of Aruba. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, the plane has hardly been used. This board is currently for sale.
The editors managed to get the corresponding booklet of Akhmetov's plane, thanks to which you can see the interior of the plane with a conference hall, a rest area and a bedroom for the first time.
On the eve of the full-scale invasion at the end of January 2022, it was possible to record how this private Akhmetov Airbus was used twice by the presenter and journalist Dmytro Gordon for flights from Kyiv to Geneva and back.
Akhmetov returned to Ukraine a day before the full-scale invasion. Thanks to sources in the aviation sector, it was found out that the second board of Akhmetov's Falcon 7 is also put up for sale.
The corresponding booklet of the aircraft for sale, registered in the British Virgin Islands, is also available to the editors.
Rinat Akhmetov's press service confirmed upon request: "Yes, it is true. All planes are for sale." And this means that Akhmetov's third plane - another Falcon 7 with the serial number P4-SCM - is also put up for sale. This plane, like the Airbus, is also registered in Aruba", - says the story of "Ukrainian Pravda".
According to journalist Mykhailo Tkach, the cost of Falcon planes was about 100 million dollars, and the Airbus at one time could cost about 80 million.
