Rinat Akhmetov is the only Ukrainian in the ranking of the world's richest people according to Bloomberg

Entrepreneur Rinat Akhmetov became the only Ukrainian to be included in the ranking of the world's richest people according to the authoritative Bloomberg agency. Moreover, since the beginning of the year, his fortune has even increased.

According to the Bloomberg agency, the ranking of the richest people in the world was headed by the founder and former CEO of Amazon, Jeff Bezos. According to the agency, Bezos' fortune as of today is 205 billion dollars. Since the beginning of the year, they have increased by 27.9 billion dollars.

The second place in the rating is occupied by French businessman Bernard Arnault, he owns a controlling stake in the LVMH company. His fortune is 203 billion dollars.

Elon Musk, the founder of the Tesla and SpaceX companies, closes the top three, whose fortune is estimated at $202 billion.

According to the ranking, the top ten richest people in the world also include Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg ($169 billion), Google co-founder Larry Page ($156 billion), Microsoft founder Bill Gates ($152 billion), former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer ( $148 billion), ex-president of Alphabet Sergey Brin ($147 billion), founder and chairman of Oracle Corporation Larry Ellison ($138 billion), as well as American investor and philanthropist Warren Buffett ($133 billion).

According to the agency, the only Ukrainian on the list is Rinat Akhmetov. The businessman occupies 451st place. His fortune is estimated at 6.44 billion dollars. According to Bloomberg, they have increased by $598 million since the beginning of the year.

We will remind you that the electricity tariff has been raised in Ukraine. The Ministry of Energy emphasized that raising the electricity tariff is a difficult but necessary step, because under the current conditions, the state does not have the opportunity to maintain an ultra-low preferential price for all consumers. In addition, they noted that money is needed to restore the facilities that were destroyed by Russia.

At the same time, experts emphasize that if we proceed from the logic that the stations owned by DTEK are now damaged, and the state will spend money to restore them, then they should be state property.
