Missile strike on Odessa: civilian infrastructure damaged

On the evening of May 1, Odesa was again targeted by Russian airstrikes. The shelling of the city injured 14 people and severely damaged civilian infrastructure. Video of the aftermath of the strike was posted by the city hall.

“Another attack by Russian forces on Odessa. Our civilian infrastructure has been damaged, and rescuers are currently battling a large fire,” the mayor said. City Hall Chairman Oleg Kiper said one man was hospitalized with moderate injuries, while other victims were treated at the scene. Local authorities said civilian infrastructure, including the post office’s warehouse, was damaged in the shelling.

“We continue to fight the fire. Windows were broken in the surrounding houses,” Kiper added.
