According to our sources, the family of the People's Deputy from the Servant of the People party, Hennadiy Kasai, purchased luxury real estate in Dubai for over $1 million during the full-scale war in Ukraine.
According to our data, the daughter and nephew of the People's Deputy became owners of four apartments in premium residential complexes in 2022-2023. The purchase was traced through a data leak from the state registers of the United Arab Emirates, provided in cooperation with the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP).
This fact caused outrage, since it was during this period that the Kasai family found itself at the center of a scandal involving the supply of jackets to the Armed Forces of Ukraine at inflated prices, with the quality of the products also raising doubts. Despite this, the MP himself denies his involvement in defense procurement, and calls his relatives “adults” who independently make decisions about their expenses. However, he did not explain the origin of the funds for the expensive real estate.
Polina Kasai, the daughter of the People's Deputy, avoids explanations regarding the origin of the funds, as does the deputy's nephew, Oleksandr Kasai.
This investigation adds to a series of scandals related to the spending of public funds during the war and could raise serious questions about the transparency and accountability of Ukrainian authorities.
