The attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine with Storm Shadow missiles was carried out in the area of the historic estate of the Baryatinsky princes in the Kursk region, now a sanatorium owned by the administration of the President of the Russian Federation, Russian media reports.
Earlier, a video of shelling appeared from the vicinity of this estate.
Ukrainian publics assume that the strike was aimed at an underground command post, which was allegedly located nearby.
Russian publications write that these buildings have been hit by Hymars missiles before. The photo shows the destruction after those blows.
The BBC also confirmed the use of British Storm Shadow missiles for strikes on Russian territory.
"As it became known to the BBC, the first British missiles have already been used to fire at the territory of Russia," the message reads.
The publication adds that for several months London advocated for Ukraine to use British-supplied weapons for strikes on Russian territory, but wanted to coordinate the final decision with the United States.
