On November 20, Russian media and public figures reported an attack on the Kursk region using British long-range Storm Shadow missiles. According to their statements, the strikes were concentrated in the Maryino area, and the total number of missiles fired could reach 12 units.
The Russian governor announced the shooting down of two missiles, without specifying their type.
Yesterday, according to Ukrainian media and the Russian Defense Ministry, the territory of the Russian Federation was attacked for the first time by American ATACMS. Ukraine did not officially confirm this. And today, information appeared that the US also authorized Storm Shadow strikes.
Western media also write that Ukraine today struck the territory of the Russian Federation for the first time with British Storm Shadow missiles.
This is reported by Bloomberg, Reuters and Telegraph newspapers, citing Western sources.
This happened, as reported, in Maryino, Kursk Oblast. It is claimed that the attack was "on military targets.".
The Ukrainian Armed Forces struck with Storm Shadow missiles in the area of the historic estate of the Baryatinsky princes in the Kursk region, now a sanatorium owned by the Russian presidential administration, Russian media outlets report.
Earlier, a video of shelling appeared from the vicinity of this estate.
Ukrainian sources suggest that the strike targeted an underground command post, which was allegedly located nearby.
Russian publications write that these buildings were previously hit by Haimars missiles. The photo shows the destruction after those strikes.

The BBC also confirmed the use of British Storm Shadow missiles to strike Russian territory.
"As the BBC has learned, the first British missiles have already been used to shell Russian territory," the report says.
The publication adds that for several months London has advocated allowing Ukraine to use weapons supplied by Britain to strike Russian territory, but wanted to coordinate the final decision with the United States.
