According to the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russian troops have begun preparations to resume the offensive in the Kamian direction in the Zaporizhzhia region. They are intensively advancing on this area, carrying out airstrikes and ground attacks.
On this day, Ukrainian forces also launched a counterattack to the north and northeast of Kharkiv. Russian troops, according to preliminary data, are attacking Ukrainian positions with small groups of infantry, supported by drones, artillery, aviation and armored vehicles.
As of June 22, Russian troops continue offensive operations in the Siversk direction. Although the front line has not yet undergone significant changes, they are making good progress. The Russians were also active in the area of Chasovoy Yar, advancing to the east.
As a result of the Russian aggression, Svatove, Avdiyivka and Shumy are now under the control of the occupiers.
Ground attacks by militants continue in the Donetsk-Zaporizka region. So far, there are no confirmed changes to the front line, but Russian forces are actively increasing airstrikes and ground attacks near Kamianskyi.
According to ISW, Russian forces may soon resume offensive operations in the area. The intensive use of glide bombs and the growing activity of ground attacks testify to this.
Also, on June 21 and 22, fighting continued on the left bank of the Kherson Region, in particular near Krynyk and islands in the floodplain of the Dnipro River.
