According to Bild military expert Julian Röpke, Russian troops have successfully crossed the water channel north of Chasov Yar and captured most of the village of Kalinin.
This information is based on footage from the scene of hostilities received from a military analyst.
The journalist notes that the Armed Forces have "hundreds of meters of trenches" in the area of the canal, but they lack soldiers, due to which the Russians were able to overcome the obstacles "without any resistance on the ground."
"No Ukrainian troops in the trenches, no fire from small arms, no mines. Just counterattacks with the help of FPV drones," the journalist writes and cites the corresponding video.
The Bild newspaper also writes with reference to Ryopke that Russian troops have entered the village of Sokil west of Avdiyivka.
The map of the Ukrainian military public Deep State shows that the "grey zone" has approached the eastern outskirts of Sokol. At the same time, the public does not confirm the crossing of the channel to the north of Chasovoy Yar.
According to Julian Röpke, these advances are connected, in particular, with the lack of shells in the Armed Forces.
The journalist cites data according to which about 10,000 155-mm caliber shells have arrived in Ukraine since April from the USA, as well as 12,000 from Germany. "But now the armed forces are concentrating their forces in the Kharkiv region, where they manage to counterattack successfully. This creates a shortage of shells in other areas of the front," the expert believes.
