The Russian offensive in the north of the Kharkiv region threatens to cut off the supply of the Kupyan group

The aggravation of hostilities in the north of the Kharkiv region as a result of the offensive of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation may lead to serious problems with supplies for the group in Kupiansk. This offensive, aimed at occupying key positions, is already causing exciting discussions among the military and experts.

The enemy's advance near Vovchansk creates an acute tactical problem regarding the supply of Kupyansk. At the same time, it can turn into a strategic problem. The offensive here is already going in two directions: towards Kharkiv and along the Siverskyi Donets river.

The attack on the village of Hlyboke is connected with the plans of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to advance to Kharkiv in order to bombard the Armed Forces group stationed there with barrel artillery. For this purpose, the Russians intend to seize the village of Liptsi and strengthen their positions there, which will enable them to bind the main forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which are in Kharkiv.

At the same time, another part of the Kharkiv group of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, which is conducting an assault on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Vovchansk and Starytsia, will continue to expand the bridgehead along the Siverskyi Donets River and will move in the direction of Hetmanivka and Shevchenko to cut off the supply of the Kupyan group. Natural geography - the Siversky Donets River and air and artillery support will cover the right flank of the Russians, while the bridges along the river will be destroyed, and the threat of an attack on Kharkiv (from Lypytsia) will not allow Ukrainian units to leave the city.

At the same time, it is impossible to transfer serious reserves of the Armed Forces to stop the enemy's forces. First, there is a lack of fortifications, and they will not have time to build them quickly. And secondly, the lack of people ("there are no reserves"). And neither the West is ready to help solve this problem, nor Ukraine itself can solve it.

The enemy's tactics of "thousands of small cuts" are bleeding the Armed Forces. The Russians strike at once in many directions, stretching and exhausting Ukrainian reserves. After that, in one place or another, the Russians break through the defense. And likewise, the Russians will make a breakthrough to Hetmanivka and Shevchenko, in order to cut the H-26 route and begin an exit to the rear of the Kupyan group. Simultaneously with the approach to populated areas, the Russian Armed Forces will increase pressure in the Kupyansk direction in order to cut off the supply routes for the units of the Armed Forces there.
