Russia attacked Odessa when the Prime Minister of Greece was there

On the morning of March 6, Russia launched an attack on the city of Odesa. At that moment, the Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis was in the city.

According to Greek mass media, the Russian army attacked Odesa at 11:43. The motorcade of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi and the Greek delegation led by Kyriakos Mitsotakis were 150 meters from the site of the shelling. It is noted that no one was injured as a result of the shelling.

"The security of the Prime Minister and the Greek delegation was not violated. Everyone is doing well," government sources said.

As for the meeting between Zelenskyi and Mitsotakis, according to the publication, it took place as usual and lasted longer than planned - half an hour in total.

The Prime Minister of Greece stated that his country will continue to provide assistance to Kyiv within its capabilities. At the same time, he emphasized Greece's support for Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic prospects.

The leaders of the two countries also visited a construction complex that was attacked by a Russian drone last Saturday, which resulted in the tragic death of 12 people.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the attack on the motorcade in Odesa.

"I know there are victims. There are dead and wounded," Zelenskyi said.
