On the day of April 13, Russian troops struck the city of Sumy. As a result of the attack, civilians were killed and a child among the wounded. About it reported V.O. Mayor Artem Kobzar.
"There is a lot of dead today in the morning as a result of an enemy attack today," Kobzar wrote in his address.
According to eyewitnesses, there were two powerful explosions in the city at intervals of a few minutes. The first blow destroyed part of the civil infrastructure, the second - came near the epicenter of the first explosion, when rescuers were already working on the spot.
According to "public", among the wounded - at least one child. Adult residents of the city were also injured, several people were hospitalized. It is known about the serious destruction of buildings in the central part of Sumy.
Social networks spread footage from the scene of the tragedy, in particular - a photo from Petropavlovskaya Street, where the bodies of the dead are visible. It is this part of the city that has suffered the greatest blow.
Emergency services are currently in place. The final number of dead and victims is still clarified. The authorities urge the residents to stay in shelters and follow reports from the local administration.
