Russia struck the ground infrastructure of one of the underground gas storage facilities of Ukrtransgaz

The head of Naftogaz announced the damage to the company's facilities in the west of the country.

"Getting into the ground infrastructure of one of the underground gas storage facilities of Ukrtransgaz - the gas storage operator of Ukraine. Technological equipment is damaged."

At the same time, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated as a result of the missile strikes:

"Tonight, the Air and Space Forces of Russia carried out a group attack with high-precision, long-range air-based weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles on the facilities of the electric power industry, the gas extraction industry, and the places of assembly and testing of unmanned boats."

That is, the damage to the equipment of the gas storage was not accidental (the fall of debris), but purposeful.

Previously, the Russian Federation refrained from striking the infrastructure, thanks to which the EU receives Russian gas, and continued to earn from supplies, despite the war. Apparently priorities have changed!
