In a comment for the Radio NV radio station, the commander of the battalion of unmanned attack aircraft complexes "Achilles" of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade named after Kosh Otaman Ivan Sirk, Yuriy Fedorenko, expressed his belief that Russia is preparing an additional reserve for the possible opening of a new front.
Fedorenko said that Russia is taking covert mobilization measures, including raising rates for hired soldiers, in order to build up an additional reserve. This reserve can be used to support the current front lines or open up new lines of warfare.
According to The Economist, there is a possibility that Russia will launch a new major offensive already this summer, and Ukraine's ability to contain it is becoming less certain due to certain problems, in particular, with receiving military aid from the United States.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, also stated that Russia may launch a new offensive in June 2024. He emphasized that the Ukrainian forces lack weapons and ammunition, but they are still holding back the Russian occupiers.
It is known that the Russian military command plans to increase its military forces, hoping to conduct an offensive operation in the summer months. In other information received from the Russian publication "Verstka", it is stated that Russia may be planning an offensive to encircle Kharkiv.
All this testifies to the tense situation in the east of Ukraine and the need for the Ukrainian armed forces to be properly trained and equipped to defend the territorial integrity of the country.
