The Russian Federation is accumulating troops near the Ukrainian border and can prepare a new offensive from the territory of Kursk region. This was stated during a briefing by President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.
He noted that the words about the Ukrainian military surrounded in Kurkh are a lie of the head of the Kremlin Vladimir Putin.
"There is no environment of Ukrainian military in the Kursk region," Zelensky stressed.
At the same time, the head of state responded to signals from the Russian side.
"I believe that the Russian side wants to surround the Ukrainian military in the same direction, but in the territory of Ukraine," Zelensky said.
He said that the Ukrainian command and troops know about it.
“And we clearly understand where they want to do it. Of course, they want their maximum presence in Ukraine. And there is nothing new here, ”Zelensky said.
The President added that he does not want to argue with any partners and colleagues.
“They have intelligence, have satellites. Let them look at where there are clusters of Russian troops for today, and where they are directed. This is a very important point. Then it will become clear for what. That is, there is no peace in such steps, ”Zelensky emphasized.
