The command of the Defense Forces of Ukraine warn that Russia is preparing a new large -scale offensive operation this spring. According to the commander of the 1st assault battalion of the 3rd Separate assault brigade of the Armed Forces Fokin, active fighting can be renewed in April. The main direction of impact is probably the area of Borova in Kharkiv region.
"In the rear areas of Russia, active preparation has been ongoing for more than a month. Well -completed reserves, which are likely to be involved for the offensive. It is likely that the fighting will be exacerbated in the area of responsibility of our brigade," Fokin said.
Nevertheless, the commander emphasizes that information on the exact time of the offensive is currently the previous one. Similar estimates also sound from other Ukrainian officials.
In particular, the head of the Center for Combating Misinformation at NSDC Andriy Kovalenko suggests that the Kremlin can activate offensive actions not in April, but in May. He noted that Russia still accumulates resources, rotates units and builds logistics for impact.
Signals for the preparation of Russians for a large -scale offensive are also confirmed by international analytical centers. For example, earlier the preparation of the Kremlin for a new stage of hostilities was reported by Western media, citing satellite images, moving equipment and intercepting.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also warned that the Russian Federation is preparing a new offensive wave by the end of spring. In his opinion, the enemy will try to pause in the decision of the event about new supplies of weapons to increase pressure on the front.
According to a number of military experts, the Zaporizhzhya direction, including Orikhov and Tokmak, can be one of the main areas of future operation. The Russians will try to expand the so -called "land corridor" to the Crimea and push the Armed Forces from dangerous closeness to Melitopol.
According to open sources, Ukrainian military units are already in a state of increased combat readiness. The Armed Forces conduct enhanced intelligence, strengthen positions and monitor the logistics of the enemy.
