Russia is preparing a new offensive in June - under threat of three areas of Ukraine

Russia can start a new large -scale offensive operation in June 2025. This was stated by military analyst Nico Lange in a comment to the German edition of Bild . According to him, Kharkiv, Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk regions are under the immediate threat.

“This offensive has long been planned. Its start is already observed - despite attempts to settle through negotiations with US President Donald Trump, ”the expert notes. In his view, the Kremlin's purpose is not the search for a truce, but to create new pressure levers during potential negotiations.

“Russia wants to move into new areas to complicate future arrangements. This is part of the political game - to occupy new territories that will be the subject of blackmail in negotiations, ”Lange explained.

He also warned that Russian troops have significantly improved their skills in the War of Drones. Moscow is actively copying Ukrainian tactics and already applies it with a noticeable effect. Thousands of new UAVs have appeared in the Russian arsenal, as well as powerful remedies for radio electronic wrestling that Russians use for strikes on the rear logistics of the Armed Forces.

"These attacks of drones daily cause significant losses to the Ukrainian rear - warehouses, transport, logistics are displayed," the analyst states.

Against the backdrop of the announced changes in the US political leadership and pauses in the support of Western allies, the Russian Federation can try to use this moment to create new bridgeheads and increase pressure on Ukraine in the north and eastern directions.
