The mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovy, reported on the said hits in the city, after which he published photos and detailed information about the consequences of the shelling.
"According to preliminary data, more than ten rockets were fired into our region. Air defense systems successfully resisted this attack, but, unfortunately, we recorded one hit on an infrastructure facility," he said.
According to the mayor, two schools and one kindergarten were damaged, more than 400 windows were broken, and a total of 18 residential buildings were destroyed.
"As a result of the attack, there are three wounded Lviv residents who received medical assistance, but their lives are not in danger," added the mayor.
Several missiles were also maneuvered near Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk , as reported by the Air Force, where the air defense system was also operating.
Damage was recorded in Frankiv Oblast after the missile was shot down.
"During the morning alert, an enemy target in the region was destroyed. As a result of falling debris, the roofs of farm buildings caught fire, but the fire was quickly extinguished. Fortunately, there were no victims and significant destruction," the regional administration said in a statement.
