The Russian Federation does not see the possibility of introducing a ceasefire regime in the war against Ukraine. This was stated by Post -Representation at the UN Vasyl Neenz during a briefing, commenting on the prospects of the truce.
According to Neenzi, he considers the actions of Ukraine the main "obstacle" for arrangements. In particular, he accused Kyiv of violating the moratorium on blows to energy infrastructure.
"We had an attempt to have a limited ceasefire against energy infrastructure, which was not followed by the Ukrainian side. In the current circumstances, it is simply unrealistic to speak about ceasefire at this stage," Neenz said.
The representative of the aggressor country also added that Russia allegedly "does not strike from energy objects"-despite numerous evidence and mass shelling of Ukrainian critical infrastructure, which have repeatedly caused bloom in the country.
We will remind, on March 11, according to the results of negotiations between the US and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia, information about the initiative to introduce a 30-day ceasefire appeared. Ukraine agreed to the proposal, the final decision should be by Russia.
Subsequently, the parties allegedly reached a separate arrangement to stop the impact on energy infrastructure. However, on the same day, the Russian Federation hit the Donetsk region, which led to large -scale power outages. It was not a single case: in the last month, Russia has repeatedly fired at Ukrainian TPPs, hydroelectric power plants and substations.
