Russia switches to round-the-clock “shaheed” raids

The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, Andriy Kovalenko, said that Russia intends to expand the Shahed kamikaze drone raids to a practically round-the-clock format. According to him, regular attacks by enemy drones target both military and intelligence targets, in particular, the Russians are trying to save on missiles by using much cheaper strike UAVs.

Kovalenko emphasized that the daily raids by the "Shaheeds" also serve as a means of constant psychological pressure on the civilian population, which, according to the occupiers, is aimed at breaking the motivation of Ukrainians to resist.

“However, new ways to shoot down the “shaheeds” are on the way. Everything will be OK,” said Kovalenko, reassuring the public.

Recent Russian attacks

Recently, Russia has been actively carrying out attacks on the territory of Ukraine using Shahed drones. In particular, on Saturday, the occupation forces again struck Kyiv, as a result of which debris was recorded falling in several areas and fires broke out.

In addition, it was recently reported that Russia has begun using Shahed drones with thermobaric warheads. Aviation expert and leading researcher at the State Aviation Museum Valery Romanenko noted that the occupiers are constantly changing the routes of their attacks, trying to strike major Ukrainian cities from different directions.
