On April 15, 2025, two SES staff from the Mikhailov community got to the hospital in serious condition due to chemical poisoning after contact with the debris of Russian drone Shahd. The community press service reported.
According to official information, rescuers inspected the fall of the drone, touched its remains - and in a short time they were hospitalized. Pre -established: the drone body was covered with an unknown chemical that could cause intoxication of the body.
This is not the first case. Earlier, the Informnapalm international intelligence community warned that Russian Shahd-136 and Gerran-2 could be equipped with capsules with poisonous substances. The goal is not only the destruction of objects, but also the impressions of people who come in contact with debris.
The tactics of processing drones are aimed at rescuers, sappers, military and volunteers who are the first to arrive at the site of UAV. Although there is no official confirmation of the use of poisonous coating at this time, cases of chemical damage after contact with the residues of drones are increasingly recorded.
The Center for Combating Misinformation Earlier stated that Russia systematically uses prohibited substances in the war against Ukraine. It is a matter of chloropicrin and other chemicals that can be used from drones.
In the first three and a half months of 2025, Russia launched more than 11.4 thousand drones in Ukraine, while in the same period of 2024 - only 1.4 thousand. This growth is eight times, and with each new wave there is a risk of "chemistry".
Experts urge: not to touch the wreckage of drones without protection, it is necessary to use personal protective equipment - gloves, respirators, sealed packages for transportation of fragments.
Rescuers affected in the Nikolaev area are in serious condition. They are provided with medical care, the results of toxicological examination are expected.
