According to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin, during the period from December 30, 2023 to February 7, 2024, Russia used at least 24 ballistic missiles of North Korean production during missile attacks on the territory of Ukraine.
These attacks resulted in at least 12 strikes targeting seven regions of Ukraine. Unfortunately, as a result of these attacks, 14 civilians were killed and more than 70 were injured.
The Prosecutor General emphasized that the maximum launch range of these missiles is up to 650 km, and they have a larger diameter than similar models of Russian and Soviet production.
The accuracy of these missiles leaves much to be desired, Kostin noted. Of the 24 missiles fired, two relatively accurate hits are known: one missile hit the Kremenchuk Refinery, and the other hit the technical area of the airfield in Kanatovo. The rest of the rockets hit at a great distance from each other, up to several kilometers or more, or exploded in the air, or caused the destruction of residential areas in Kharkiv.
