On the night of February 22, the Russian army occupied Pobieda, a village southwest of Maryinka, Donetsk region. This was announced by DeepState and confirmed by the Russian Ministry of Defense. The military-political leadership of Ukraine did not comment on these reports.
Russian "military bloggers" believe that although this settlement is quite tiny, it allegedly has an important tactical significance - as it is located on the main road to Vugledar in the south of the Donetsk region .
Russia is trying to get to Ugledar from another direction - from Novomykhailivka. After fierce attacks by the aggressor's army and its small advance there, the Defense Forces managed to stabilize the front .
In the morning of February 22, the Ukrainian General Staff reported 14 attacks in the Marinsk direction - this is the second most intensively attacked section of the front after Avdiivska.
The Russian army also advanced a little in Georgiivka, a village already northwest of Maryinka, in the direction of Kurakhovo, Donetsk region. A large TPP is located in Kurakhovo, which is of interest to the aggressor.
