On Christmas Eve, December 25, 2024, Russia launched another massive missile attack targeting critical infrastructure in Ukraine. Because of this, emergency power outage schedules have been introduced in many regions, reports the Ukrenergo company.

DTEK reports significant damage to thermal power plant equipment as a result of shelling. Energy workers immediately started restoration work, but it is impossible to eliminate all the consequences immediately.
Telegram channel "Nikolaevsky Vanek" notes that this time the strikes were aimed not only at electricity supply, but also at water, heating and gas networks. "This was a unique attack that will have long-term consequences," the message states.
Even on December 24, experts assured that there are no plans for shutdowns. If there had been no shelling, Ukrainians could celebrate the holiday with light. However, Russian missile strikes once again wreaked havoc on the energy sector's plans.
Despite this, Ukrainian energy workers are once again demonstrating endurance and professionalism, working promptly to restore the supply of electricity.
