Russia struck the base of the Chernomorets football club in Odessa

On March 1, 2025, Russia made another air attack on the territory of the Odessa region, damaging the training base of the Chernomorets football club in Sovignon. The blow was caused by unmanned aerial vehicles such as ShahED, which caused significant destruction on the base. As a result of the attack, the building, the surrounding area and the sports and restoration complex of the club were damaged.

In particular, the explosion of the window in the pool was knocked out and the wreckage was scattered throughout. The administrative building of the club and cars owned by the Chernomorets employees were also damaged.

The attack happened at the moment when the team was on the base, preparing for the match of the 19th round of the Premier League of Ukraine against the "left bank", which will take place on March 1. As a result of the explosion, none of the football players, trainers or staff of the club was injured, as most of them were staying at the base.

Despite the destruction, the club thanked the fans in his official message for their support and thanked those fans who with a weapon in their hands defend the country from the aggressor.

"The fourth year of the war goes, and even when you seem ready for everything, it is difficult to accept that the explosion can happen anywhere,"-said the club representatives on his Facebook page.

Currently, the damages are being assessed, and the club continues its activities by supporting the combat spirit of its players and coaches.
