The Russians may launch an offensive against Sumy

The Russians may launch an offensive against Sumy. They have enough opportunities for this.

This was told by the battalion commander of the Achilles attack unmanned aerial systems. A full-scale war in Ukraine continues and the Russians are looking for ways to open a new front.

The commander told about the presence of reserves of the enemy in the Sumy direction.

"Unfortunately, yes, enough. The enemy can maintain a high-intensity pace of fighting. Is it possible to gather a group to try to cross the state border line in the Kharkiv or Sumy regions? Unfortunately, there is. The adversary constantly carries out reconnaissance actions, feels the state of the state border line, looking for weak points. This is being done with one goal - in the future to try to cross the state border," Fedorenko added.

Yury Fedorenko, commander of the "Achilles" battalion of the 92nd separate assault brigade, also reported on the successes in the Kharkiv direction.

"The General Staff will say more about this in more detail, since some positions are transitional. But there are positive dynamics regarding the de-occupation, most of the positions from which it was possible to knock out the enemy remain behind us. The enemy is not going to leave the Kharkiv region, he is engaging everything available. Despite this, the Defense Forces have concrete results both in terms of holding positions, and we are additionally implementing offensive actions to knock the enemy out of our land," Fedorenko noted.

He also shared his thoughts on the enemy's strategic goals in the Kharkiv direction, stressing that the occupiers cannot achieve them.

"Will the enemy be able to realize his intentions in the Kharkiv region? This is the entrenchment on the bridgehead in Vovchansk, the exit to the rear of the group that performs the task on the Kupyan sector, and the maximum approach to the administrative borders of Kharkiv in order to take it under control, in particular with the help of barrel artillery. Will the enemy succeed? At the moment, definitely not," said Fedorenko.
