The Russians may launch assaults in the Zaporizhzhia region in the coming days

Russian troops may start new follow-up actions in the Zaporizhzhia region in the coming days. This was stated by the spokesman of the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshin, in an interview for Sky News , warning of a possible escalation of hostilities in the southern direction.

According to Voloshyn, the attacks could create a new pressure point for the Ukrainian military, which is already retreating in the east. Although it is still unclear whether this will be one large-scale offensive by the Russians or separate assaults.

"The attacks could start in the near future, we're not even talking about weeks, we expect it to happen any day now," the spokesman said.

He added that Russian troops in this area significantly outnumber Ukrainian troops.

Earlier it was reported about the advance of the Russians in the direction of Gulyaipol, Zaporizhzhia region.
