Inspections and transfers of commanders and soldiers of the "Volunteer Ukrainian Corps" to other units have begun

After the loss of some positions in the direction of Chasovoy Yar in Donetsk region, the 67th separate mechanized brigade "Volunteer Ukrainian Corps" began inspections and transfers of commanders and soldiers to other units.

The 67th OMBR DUK writes about this on its Facebook page.

"We inform you that the higher command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has started the process of transferring to other military units all the commanders and soldiers of the DUK PS, who formed the brigade and are its combat backbone. The motives of such actions are not known to us. All attempts to stop this process and find out the reasons did not give results. Perhaps someone believes that dispersing the fighters of the DUK PS in different units of the Armed Forces will lead to the destruction of the DUK PS. Now the brigade has numerous commissions. They compile lists of fighters who, from the first day of the existence of the military unit, carried out the defense of Ukraine in its ranks.

Official investigations have been opened against unit commanders, it is possible that criminal proceedings will be opened on trumped-up charges of non-compliance with combat orders. Commanders and fighters are ready to defend their honor and dignity, and that of their fallen brothers, in a legal way. All command orders of soldiers and commanders are carried out. Actions to completely weaken a combat-ready unit, which this military unit has been from the very beginning of the full-scale invasion, remain completely unclear," the brigade said in a statement.

The mass media, citing sources in the command of the direction in which the brigade was fighting, write that the military leadership at various levels was interested in why such a motivated unit as the DUK was "sitting" near Chasovoy Yar.

It is reported that during the inspection it was found that the command of the brigade treated those who transferred to them from other units during the recent replenishment worse than those from the "Right Sector" who made up the backbone of the brigade. New recruits were called "pixels", they were the first to be sent into battle and, due to lack of experience, they lost positions.

The source also said that the root of the current problem lies in the impossibility of reformatting the former volunteer unit into a regular brigade of the Armed Forces.

We will remind that the "Volunteer Ukrainian Corps" (VUK) was formed in 2014 by the "Right Sector" during the war in Donbas. After that, he was not part of any of the official security forces of Ukraine for a long time, which raised the question of the ambiguity of his legal status. This lasted until 2018, after which most of the Ukrainian Armed Forces became part of the Armed Forces.
