After September 19, the specialized anti-corruption prosecutor's office (SAP) will send an indictment to the court against four judges of the Kyiv Court of Appeal - Viktor Glynany, Ihor Palenyk, Vyacheslav Dzyubin and Yuriy Sliva - who are suspected of receiving an illegal benefit in the amount of $35,000.
According to the decision of the High Anti-corruption Court of July 4, the defense was limited in time to review the materials of the pre-trial investigation until September 19, 2024 inclusive. After this date, the defense party will be considered to have exercised its right to access the case materials.
Case details
NABU and SAP have exposed four judges of the Kyiv Court of Appeal for receiving illegal benefits. According to the investigation, judge Vyacheslav Dzyubin received 35,000 dollars for lifting the seizure of two planes in the case of the former head of Motor-Sichi Vyacheslav Boguslaev. Of this amount, he kept 10,000 dollars for himself, and distributed the remaining 25,000 dollars between three other judges - Yuri Sliva, Igor Palenyk and Viktor Glynyan.
Judge Palenyk received $25,000 in a whiskey box, of which $8,300 he handed over to Judge Sliva in a coffee packet. Judge Glyniany received $8,300 in advertising brochures from an Internet provider.
During the searches, NABU found 10,000 dollars from Dzyubin, 25,000 dollars from Palenyk, which, according to the investigation, he changed before handing them over to other judges, as well as 8,300 dollars each from Sliva and Glynany.
The investigation has been completed
NABU and SAP completed the investigation of this case, and after September 19, the indictment will be sent to the court. The defense party, limited in terms of time for perusal of investigation materials, must complete perusal by the specified date.
