British intelligence is analyzing the destruction of the amphibious assault ship "Novocherkask" in the Crimea

Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain conducted an analysis of the destruction of the Russian landing ship "Novocherkask" in Feodosia, Crimea. In their report, they note that similar ships, including the "Novocherkask," are often used for logistical tasks and ensuring road and rail connections of the Crimean Bridge.

According to the conclusions of British intelligence, Russia's aggressive policy involved the use of large amphibious ships for significant amphibious operations during a possible invasion. This was probably one of the reasons for the increase in the number of such vessels in the Black Sea in preparation for a possible war against Ukraine.

The incident reportedly led to an increase in the number of Russian ships lost, including the Saratov, which sank on March 24, 2022, and the Minsk, which was destroyed in September 2023. Additionally, two submarines are likely damaged as well.

On the night of December 26, the Russian amphibious assault ship "Novocherkask" was destroyed by a missile strike in the annexed Feodosia. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the ship was damaged during the attack.
