The representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov, reported on the possible activation of the Russian army near Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region. He noted that the reason for such alerts was an article by the British newspaper The Telegraph, which indicates a possible "large-scale attack" by the Russian Federation on the Kharkiv region on January 15.
Andrii Yusov confirmed that Ukrainian intelligence recorded the movements of enemy forces and assets in the Kupyansk direction, which may indicate the possible preparation of the aggressor for offensive actions on this part of the front. However, he did not confirm the exact date mentioned in The Telegraph article.
"However, we cannot claim that the Russians are preparing for these actions on the specified dates. Ukrainian security and defense forces are ready to respond," Yusov emphasized. It is important to note that the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence, Andriy Chernyak, also did not confirm the information of The Telegraph regarding the preparation of the Russians for the attack on the Kharkiv Region on January 15.
Currently, the 682nd day of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine continues, 62 combat clashes have been recorded in the last day, most of which took place in the Avdiyiv, Maryinsky, and Kherson directions.
