The Ukrainian military continues its active offensive in the direction of the border with Russia, and on August 6, they managed to gain a foothold in three villages in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the pro-war Telegram channel Rybar, known for its closeness to the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
According to the channel's author Mykhailo Zvinchuk, units of the Armed Forces occupied the villages of Mykolayevo-Daryino, Dar'ino and Sverdlykovo. In addition, Ukrainian and Russian troops are fighting in Goncharivka and Oleshna (the garrison of the latter is completely surrounded).
In total, up to 400 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine invaded the territory of the Kursk region, and up to two thousand soldiers are concentrated along the border, writes "Rybar".
What is happening in the Kursk region demonstrates that this operation was being developed by the Armed Forces for a long time. At the same time, the offensive in this area may last at least a few more days — especially against the background of the significant concentration of Ukrainian forces in the border area.
According to the channels "Archangel Spetsnazu" and "Two Majors", the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to advance to Suzhi, the population of the city has dispersed. In the Russian pro-war publications, it is discussed that one of the goals of the Ukrainian troops may be the destruction of the Suja gas measuring station.
Local authorities and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation do not provide details about the battles in the Kursk region.
