During 2024, Russia captured an additional 2,800 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory. This was reported by the analysts of the UA War Infographics project, who analyzed the changes on the map of hostilities over the past year.
Experts emphasized that the territory, which is equal to three squares of Kyiv, actually came under the control of the Russian Federation.

As we wrote, active street fighting continues in the cities of Chasiv Yar and Toretsk in Donetsk region. According to Viktor Tregubov, spokesman for the Khortytsia operational-strategic grouping, the main clashes are taking place in Chasovoy Yar along the Siverskyi Donets-Donbas canal, and in Toretsk there are clashes in urban areas.
