Russian forces launched a missile strike on the city of Izyum in Kharkiv region. According to preliminary information, the occupiers used a ballistic missile . The attack killed 4 civilians and injured 20 more , five of whom are hospitalized in serious condition.
As a result of a Russian ballistic missile strike on the center of Izyum, 24 people were injured, three are in the operating room, and a 15-year-old girl is among the wounded, the head of the Kharkiv OVA, Oleg Synegubov, reported on Telegram on Tuesday.
At this moment, 24 people have been hospitalized in Izyum. Among them is a 15-year-old girl who received a shrapnel wound and is in moderate condition
Three more people, according to him, are in the operating room, and doctors are providing all necessary assistance.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy showed the first footage showing the scale of the destruction after the Russian Federation struck the center of Izyum with a ballistic missile, and stressed the need to put pressure on Russia.
"Izyum. A rescue operation is underway after a Russian missile strike on the city. Part of the city council building was destroyed as a result of this strike. As of now, it is known that there are victims - 20 people were injured. Unfortunately, five people died. My condolences to their families and loved ones," Zelensky wrote on social media.
The Head of State pointed out: “It is impossible to reconcile with this cruelty.”.
“We need to put pressure on Russia, apply as much force as possible – the force of arms, the force of sanctions, the force of diplomacy – to stop terror and protect life,” Zelensky emphasized, responding to the enemy attack.
