On the morning of March 6, Russia attacked the city of Odesa. Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was in the city at the time.
According to Greek media, the Russian army attacked Odessa at 11:43 a.m. The motorcade of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the Greek delegation led by Kyriakos Mitsotakis were 150 meters from the site of the attack. It is noted that no one was injured as a result of the attack.
"The security of the Prime Minister and the Greek delegation was not compromised. Everyone is doing well," government sources said.
Regarding the meeting between Zelensky and Mitsotakis, according to the publication, it took place as usual and lasted longer than planned - a total of half an hour.
The Greek Prime Minister stated that his country will continue to provide assistance to Kyiv within its capabilities. At the same time, he emphasized Greece's support for Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic prospects.
The leaders of the two countries also visited a construction complex that was attacked by a Russian drone last Saturday, leading to the tragic death of 12 people.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the attack on the motorcade in Odessa.
"I know there are victims. There are dead and there are wounded," Zelensky said.
