Russian forces launched an FPV drone strike on an electric train in the Kharkiv region. The attack killed a passenger and left two others severely stressed.
As reported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, the incident occurred on March 24 at around 05:20 at the Slatyne station. The electric train on the Slatyne - Kharkiv route, which was at the station at the time of the attack, was hit.
According to preliminary data, the Russian military used an FPV drone, which hit the train directly.
A 61-year-old passenger died as a result of the impact. The train driver and his assistant suffered an acute stress reaction.
All emergency services are working at the scene. A pre-trial investigation has been launched under the procedural guidance of the Dergachi District Prosecutor's Office.
Criminal proceedings have been opened on the fact of a war crime that caused the death of a person - Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The strike was part of a massive nighttime Russian attack on Ukraine. According to local authorities, two people were killed, 11 others were injured, and residential buildings and a hotel were damaged in the Poltava community.
Zaporizhzhia was also hit, where one person was killed and five others were injured as a result of a combined attack by drones and missiles.
