Russian troops in the Kharkiv region are facing serious problems with equipment, forcing them to conserve combat vehicles and use mainly infantry assaults. This was reported by the spokesman for the Kharkiv Military District, Yevhen Romanov, during a telethon, noting that the enemy is trying to compensate for losses with manpower.
“We observe that the enemy is trying to replenish losses by creating new units. He is also accumulating ammunition and concentrating equipment in certain areas, but is not using it, since he has a shortage of this equipment,” Romanov said. According to him, the occupiers are not ready to use equipment in battles, but instead are actively conducting infantry assaults, trying to save equipment for other tasks.
In this regard, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have already destroyed a significant number of enemy armored combat vehicles, which further deepens the Russians' equipment shortage.
The situation in the Vovchansk area remains particularly tense, where the enemy continues to storm the positions of Ukrainian troops. With the support of aviation, the enemy has tried to break through the defense several times, but all these attempts have been unsuccessful.
The situation in the Kupyan region also remains difficult. Russian troops, having failed to capture the left-bank part of the Kupyan region by November 1, continue to throw new forces into this sector of the front in order to fulfill the task of occupying the region.
