On the front against Ukraine, Russian drones with artificial intelligence elements, capable of independently finding targets and recognizing objects, have begun to be used. This was reported by Ukrainian expert on radio electronics and communication systems Serhiy Beskrestnov, known on Telegram as the author of the channel "About Communication from Serhiy Flash."
According to him, this is an enemy UAV of the V2U model. If previously LTE modems for data transmission were found on captured drones, the latest captured samples no longer have any communication channels. Such devices operate completely autonomously: they navigate independently and attack targets without external control.
Due to the lack of communication channels, electronic warfare means cannot suppress such drones — "there is nothing to jam," the expert emphasizes. This significantly complicates countering the new technology.
"Flash" noted that such UAVs pose a serious threat to the future. They are capable of flying along roads or railway tracks, independently searching for targets for attack. There are already known cases when a drone hit a crowd of people in a market.
