Early this morning, Russia launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine using Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, cruise missiles and other means. The attack triggered the launch of ballistic missiles from the Caspian Sea region and other military actions. According to reports, the occupiers used various types of aircraft and weapons.
Launches of cruise missiles and "Daggers":
- Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces : The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the launch of missiles from strategic aviation at 5:32 am. Tu-95MS aircraft were used to launch cruise missiles and Daggers. Launches were carried out in the direction of the Dnipro, Kyiv, Rivne, Kryvyi Rih and other regions.
Consequences of the attack:
- Dnipropetrovsk region : "Kinzhal" missiles were launched in Dnipro, and two cruise missiles were shot down in Kryvorizka district.
- Poltava region : In the Kremenchutsk region, a rocket fell on a private house, did not explode, and caused damage to an economic structure.
- Chernihiv region : Anti-aircraft defense was operating in Chernihiv, houses were damaged as a result of downed missiles.
- Kirovohrad region : Anti-aircraft defense was in action, but without destruction or casualties.
- Rivne region : Explosions were heard due to the operation of anti-aircraft defenses, but without significant consequences.
- Khmelnytskyi region : An air target was shot down, without casualties among the population and infrastructure facilities.
- Lviv region : Missiles did not reach the region, aerial targets were destroyed in other areas.
- Sumy region : According to preliminary data, the Russians struck Shostka, injuring one woman and causing damage to houses.
Monitoring groups report that Russian forces used various types of aircraft and combat equipment, including Tu-95MS, Tu-22M3, MiG-31K, Su-34/Su-35, and launched missiles from Crimea. An air alert was announced throughout Ukraine.
